I am a full-time RVer who travels with my dear hubby, two cats, and a camera around the country in a 1989 Airstream Excella. As we wander, I document my experiences both in pictures and with my words. But fair warning -- these aren't your typical "travel" snaps. My goal is to create fine art photography with a story behind it. Don't forget to visit my website to read more about our adventures!
It's difficult for me to describe why I take the pictures I take (to quote Lewis Hine, "If I could say it in words, I wouldn't need to photograph!") The best explanation I can offer is that I use my photography to see the world from a different angle. As a full-timer, I'm on the road year-round -- living and working in a different community every few weeks or months. I have the great fortune of being able to experience America from a somewhat unusual perspective. I'm not a local, nor am I a tourist -- I'm more like an anthropologist who goes "native" over and over again, with every new culture that she studies. I observe and record and interpret as I go, but I very rarely stay on the sidelines. When I become a part of a place, that place also becomes a part of me, a part of my art -- I walk away with a broader understanding of the world around me and deeper respect for my fellow homo sapiens. My photography is very personal and very subjective -- I try to offer folks the opportunity to travel with me, sharing the people and places and adventures that have changed my life. If it catches my eye, I hope it will touch your soul!
I found you via google when i was researching procrastination and getting organized. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so you can understand the reason for my set backs. I saw at the end that you are a photographer & a blogger as well which made feel a click. I love you work and how everything is organized. You are truly an inspiration, both as a photographer, artist and a person.
Thank you.
